Overview
FLIS is Friday, May 7th this year—welcome to our annual celebration and exploration of language and culture.
There are more than 65 presentations, workshops, and classes to participate in. You'll discover mini-language lessons, workshops on food, song, and crafts, and the ever-popular music and dance events, including UO's own K.Aire, Wushu and Ahiru Daiko, Bhangra and Bollywood Dance, and more. Sessions begin at 9:15 and end at 3:00.
As usual, FLIS represents the best of UO's commitment to international education. Presenters come from many parts of the university, bringing their expertise in language, culture, area studies, and the arts.
Check out the presentation page, where you can search by language, topic, or time for sessions that you're most interested in. In April you'll get a badge and lanyard from your teacher.

Food & Travel
The ASUO International Street Faire is back on campus for FLIS Day 2027. Students can eat at international food boohts lined along 13th street. Students can pack a lunch or eat at the student union where there's a variety of fast and mostly healthy food (Chipotle, Panda Express, Bartolotti's Pizza, ACE Sushi, Chicken Bonz, Subway, Jamba etc.).
