Last Friday, we had over 17 high schools from around Oregon attend FLIS Day! Thank you to our amazing presenters and volunteers for making this day so special.
Yamada Language Center has created two new AI-powered applications for faculty use either individually or within their language courses! Check out the Software Resources page for more information about the applications and on how to access them!
Beginning Fall 2025 the Yamada Language Center will support UO matriculated International students with academic English classes. More information to come.
YLC is the home for the Self Study Language Program
An innovative program for the study of less commonly taught languages—if 4 students or more suggest a language, we find a qualified tutor and put together a program.
For students in regular language classes
you'll find audio and video materials associated with your course in our Virtual Language Lab (duckID required). Voiceboards speaking assignments are usually done through your Canvas course.
